What is Incognito mode? How to use it?

Incognito mode is a setting that allows users to browse the web privately and securely. It prevents websites from storing information about your browsing activity on your computer. Incognito mode is designed to keep your online activities invisible to other users on the same computer, as well as to any third-party websites or applications that you might access. When you open a browser in Incognito mode, all of your browsing history, cookies and site data is hidden and deleted as soon as you close the window. Additionally, all pages you visit are not saved in your browser history and no trace of your activities can be found on your computer.

Incognito is one of the new features introduced by Google Chrome. It is a new tab that runs in stealth mode. When you open the incognito tab, it will ask you to close all the tabs. After closing all the tabs, it will automatically create a new incognito tab. So, it will be easy to switch between the incognito tab and normal tabs.

How to use it?

Incognito mode, also known as Private Browsing or Private Mode, is a privacy setting that allows you to browse the web without leaving a trace of your activity on your computer. Incognito mode is available on most web browsers, such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

When you enable Incognito Mode, the browser will prevent your activity from being saved to your computer’s local browsing history. Additionally, it will not store any cookies, site data, or other browsing information on the computer. Any files that you download while in incognito mode will not be stored to your computer, either. When you disable Incognito Mode, however, the browser will restore your local browsing history, as well as any cookies, site data, or other browsing information that was saved while you were in incognito mode.

Using Incognito mode is simple. All of the major web browsers – such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge – provide an Incognito mode.

To activate Incognito mode in Chrome, click on the three vertically-stacked dots icon in the top-right corner of the browser window. This will open a menu of options; click on “New Incognito Window” to open a new window in Incognito mode.

In Firefox, click the hamburger icon (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner of the browser window, select “New Private Window” from the menu and then click on the “Start Private Browsing” button.

In Safari, first click on the “Safari” menu at the top-left corner of the browser window. Then, click on “Private Browsing” to open a new window in Incognito mode.

In Edge, click the three dots icon in the top-right corner of the browser window, select “New InPrivate Window” from the menu and then click on the “Start InPrivate Browsing” button. Once you activate Incognito mode, all of your browsing activity will be private and secure. To ensure that your online activities remain invisible, be sure to close all Incognito windows when you are finished browsing.

Google Chrome Incognito Mode is very easy to use. All you need to do is to right click on the tab and click on “new incognito window”. It will appear as a new tab. If you want to close this tab, click on the red cross mark.

Conclusion:

Incognito mode is a great way to keep your online activities safe and secure. It is especially useful when you are using a computer that you share with other people, such as at a school or library. By using Incognito mode, you can ensure that your browsing activity remains private and secure, no matter who is using the computer.

In conclusion, Incognito Mode is a useful tool for keeping your online activity private and secure. It’s easy to enable and provides a number of benefits, such as preventing websites from tracking your activity, blocking certain types of ads, and allowing you to compare prices without saving your information to the browser.

It is not necessary to use it, but if you are looking for security then this is the best feature for you.
